AlphaTheta - CDJ-1500X

The new CDJ-1500X DJ multiplayer adopts key operating and display concepts from the wider CDJ range, but features a significantly more compact design. At the same time, the player incorporates modern features such as cloud access, StreamingDirectPlay, NFC login, and the new CoBeat service for audience interaction.

The AlphaTheta CDJ-1500X was designed for situations where a classic club setup is desired but space is limited. This makes the compact DJ player particularly suitable for smaller DJ booths, bars, small clubs, mobile setups, and ambitious home studios.

A key advantage lies in the concept of separate players. DJs can combine the CDJ-1500X with different mixers, turntables, or other playback devices. Furthermore, the setup remains easy to maintain: if a single player fails, there′s no need to replace or repair an entire all-in-one system.


A key feature of the AlphaTheta CDJ-1500X is its 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen. According to the manufacturer, this screen is derived from the flagship CDJ-3000X . This provides the player with a large surface area for track selection, waveforms, and performance information.

The browse screen displays up to 15 tracks simultaneously. This makes it easier to find the next track because more information is immediately visible. Additionally, waveform previews help you grasp song structures more quickly and better prepare transitions.

The CDJ-1500X DJ multiplayer features integrated Wi-Fi, allowing it to access cloud-based music libraries via rekordbox CloudDirectPlay. It also supports StreamingDirectPlay with Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, and Tidal. A separate subscription is required to use each of these streaming services.

Visually, the CDJ-1500X features a minimalist, matte black design. On the front is an illuminated compartment with two USB ports: one USB-C and one USB-A. This allows USB drives to be connected securely, preventing them from being accidentally pulled out in cramped booths.

The LED lighting can be adjusted to 12 colors. Additionally, side screw points allow for optional panels to be attached, further customizing the player′s look.
